Many members of the SCA are enthralled with the music and dance of the Middle Ages.
Both the “belly dance”, (in Arabic, the dance is known as Raqs Sharqi (“Eastern Dance”) or as Raqs Baladi in Egyptian Arabic (“Country Dance” or “Folk Dance”)), and the courtly dance of the Northern Europeans have a revered place in SCA Society.
